Google Calendar

Context requests calendar.readonly to show your schedule, connect meetings with people and notes, and help agents you authorize answer calendar questions. Context can read event titles, times, attendees, descriptions, locations, conferencing links, and calendar names. It cannot create, edit, delete, accept, or decline events.

Google Contacts

Context requests contacts.readonly to import names, email addresses, organizations, job titles, and contact photos into People. Google fills missing information when a person already exists; Apple Contacts remains the primary source. Context cannot edit or delete your Google contacts.

Separate consent

Calendar and Contacts use separate Google authorization grants. Connecting Calendar does not automatically enable Contacts. Context also requests openid and your Google account email solely to identify which account you connected. You may connect more than one account.

Where the data goes

Google access and refresh tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device and are not uploaded to Context servers. Calendar events are stored in Context's on-device database. When “Allow authorized agents” is on, the relevant calendar index is included in your end-to-end encrypted Context manifest so agents you authorize can use it. Turning the switch off removes that index on the next sync.

Contacts you import become People in your Context database and follow the same encrypted sync and agent-access controls as the rest of your Context data.

Your controls

In the Context app, open Settings → Integrations to add accounts, stop Contacts import, turn agent calendar access off, remove a Contacts connection, or disconnect a Google account. Disconnecting revokes future Google access and deletes tokens from the device. You can also revoke Context from your Google Account permissions.

Retention and deletion

Disconnecting Google stops future collection. Information already imported into People or encrypted into your Context data remains until you delete it, disable the applicable sync control, or request account deletion. For deletion help, email founder@edgefirst.app.

Limited use

Context uses Google API data only to provide the user-facing features described here. It does not sell the data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. Our use complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
